Lately, we've been working on all sorts of fun stuff with the GROSSICH design teams. In addition to all of the planning and writing, today we shot scene 432 which involved Lieutenant Justin Sider. What could we have been filming? This is the last shoot we have planned for this year. We'll be winding production down for the season and switch to writing for the next several months.

Every villain needs a business he hides behind. The villain in this case is 'The Hammer' and the business is [email protected]. Of course branding is important! The logo was designed to reflect virus coding and the dangers of being infected with a computer virus. I settled on 6 potential color schemes depending on the circumstance it is being used. For example, inside the [email protected] headquarters, I decided to go with solid gold. Partly to reflect the elegance of the building, but also to show 'The Hammer's' expensive and rather eccentric tastes as seen in a still from the movie below.

This was some stock footage we took during our shoot on the Legisture Grounds. It was filmed with the intent to give us footage to practice motion tracking on.
*DISCLAIMER* I do want to stress that this was extra footage we took when we were shooting on the Legislature grounds with permission. We took this footage solely to practice and play with motion tracking. THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT OF ANY KIND and this video should not be viewed as such. We would never condone violence of any kind on anyone nor do we grant anyone permission to use this video in any capacity for any reason. This video was strictly for practice to add to our sizzle reel.

A.J. is pleased to announce that he will be developing a horror/slasher titled 'Reactor No. 04'. You can see the very brief teaser below.
One of the scenes we shot (N/A 1) is meant to be surveillance footage that is used in the film. Here are some photos of the beautiful marble entrance at the Alberta Federal Building we used for those shots as well as a couple of stills of the edited finished footage of the scene.
Today we returned to the Alberta Federal Building for re-shoots and completed scenes 12 and N/A 1. Here are some behind the scenes photos from the shoot!
So... Yesterday, after months of negotiations, we were permitted to shoot on the Legislature grounds and inside the federal building and pedways. It was amazing to say the least and an extremely busy day. We definitely learned lots. Here are some behind the scenes photos...
On Tuesday July 16, 2019. I'll be making a big announcement in regards to what we have been up to with GROSSICH. It's pretty exciting stuff!
The costume department is in full swing. Various pieces are being altered, created, or purchased. Talon has been doing an amazing job building and altering various pieces of clothing and wigs while Minni has been awesome at organizing all aspects of artistic elements.
Today was our first shoot for the GROSSICH movie. We shot one of the Princess' scenes in the Princess' Passion Pit otherwise known as the Bedroom of Horrors. Here is an unprocessed still from the shoot!
Here are behind the scenes photos as well.

After a year and a half of pre-production, it all culminated with one big meeting of all of the current cast and crew for the GROSSICH film. This begins the transition from pre-production to full blown production. New cast and crew finally got to meet the rest of the group and were quickly absorbed into the family. There were lots of laughs to be had. The outtake and blooper reel as well as the surprise private message to the group from Gilbert Gottfriend were definitely a hit. The cast signed the scripts and everyone received their copies. I may have stashed one aside that may be up for grabs at some point ;) We also tackled everything we needed to, and now I can say we're finally preparing to begin filming soon. I couldn't be happier or prouder of my team. They all worked really hard to get to where we are today. I want to personally thank them all for everything they have done and for all of their help at the meeting as well. I look forward to working with all of you in the future!
Manna was also kind enough to surprise me with a birthday cake and secretly rally everyone into singing me happy birthday. I should fire her... Thanks Manna! - A.J. |
